Why learn from me?
I get asked a lot of questions about my designs - the plants I use, my fave materials etc - but, strangely to me, what I get asked about the most is BUSINESS! - How I got to where I am, what design program I use and how I balance life & work. It's so hard to get back to everyone and give them the time they all need... And this is what has led me to creating these online courses and a mentoring membership, in hope to help those who need support and want to be a part of a creative community.
Having been in the design industry for over a decade, I've learnt so much along the way. I launched my (third) design business, Slightly Garden Obsessed, on the 1st November 2014 after 7 years in the industry. I was $25K in debt & didn't own a car as I had sold it earlier in the year to live in the US for 3 months. Within the first year I turned that $25K deficit into a revenue of $495K. Each year I have continued to turnover a multiple six-figure design consultancy business with just a laptop and a love for what I do. I've made many mistakes and taken a few wrong turns over the past decade and I believe I could have avoided a lot of them if I had a mentor of my own to show me the way. I want to help you find your success - whatever that may mean to you - while hopefully avoiding most of the speed humps and road blocks along the way. It can be a scary path following your passion, but one with so many rewards. It's so worth it, I promise! And with a little guided help and a beautiful community to support you, I know we can achieve anything!
